Schmid energy solutions also acts as a general contractor to install complete heating systems including buildings, heating installations, hydraulic systems, etc. The customer benefits from efficient planning and project management and deals with only one person. To implement these projects, Schmid has a large network of competent and long-standing partners. Schmid serves as a general contractor only in the Swiss market.

One of the largest wood chip heating plants in Switzerland was inaugurated in March 2009.

Schmid energy solutions took on the GC order for the heating plant and provided the double boiler system with a total capacity of 7,400 kW.

EBL operates the plant as a contractor. Claude Minder, Project Manager of EBL, is delighted: «The implementation of the Saanen-Gstaad district heating system was a time-driven, complex and ground-breaking project.
